St. Clair College has been transforming lives and strengthening communities for over five decades, and some significant recent investments have primed the college, their 120 programs, and their 14,000 students for extraordinary success.
Preparing the next generation of Business leaders and tech innovators.
In 2022, St. Clair opened the Zekelman Centre of Business and IT, a new space on its Windsor campus which is home to 12 programs including the college’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT), and Canada’s largest Cisco Certified Networking program.
The Zekelman School of Business & Information Technology additionally offers programs such as Data Analytics for Business, and resources such as the Enactus Genesis Entrepreneurship Centre for students seeking to lead and grow their own businesses.
Transforming Traditions: Embracing the Future of Skilled Trades.
Opportunities in the skilled trades continue to grow as manufacturers and construction companies sort through retirements and increased demand.
St. Clair makes it easy to kick-start your skilled trades career with unique “Earn While You Learn” programs
for in-demand careers like CNC machinist, or tool or mold maker. These programs can be completed in under
a year, with the bulk of your studies comprising 40 weeks of paid shop-floor training. Graduates receive a one-year certificate and are exempt from their first year of apprenticeship.
Thinking about accelerating your career? With St. Clair’s proximity to major automotive manufacturing plants, its Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing, and cutting-edge programs like Electric Drive Vehicle Technician, students and graduates are well positioned for successful careers in the modern automotive sector.
“The demand for skilled trades in our region has grown significantly,” said Lido Zuccato, Dean of Engineering Technologies, and Skilled Trades for
St. Clair College. “New technologies related to skilled trades, automobility, and electrification are evolving exponentially. Through our R&D initiatives and Program Advisory Committee meetings with industry partners, St. Clair College is committed to ensuring we incorporate and deliver the latest advancements by continually updating our curriculum. The students who graduate from our programs are prepared to enter industry with confidence.”
Empowering Communities, Fulfilling Dreams.
Whether in business, health, trades, or community services, St. Clair’s programs and services go beyond what happens in the classrooms. The college is focused on meeting the needs of employers, helping learners find work, and giving back to the community in tangible ways.
St. Clair offers work integrated learning opportunities in nearly all of its programs, ensuring its graduates have developed practical, hands-on skills and relevant local industry connections by the time they walk across the convocation stage. Many of those students go right back to work after graduation, and their well-honed skills contribute to the 100% employer satisfaction that St. Clair enjoyed in the most recent Colleges Ontario survey.
All throughout the job search process, St. Clair Career Services supports
its students with presentations and workshops, resume critiques, mock interviews, and much more, while students wishing to continue their studies benefit from articulation and pathway agreements that empower them to build upon their education elsewhere in Ontario, in Canada, and internationally.
It’s not just businesses and careers than benefit from St. Clair’s presence in the Greater Windsor area, however. Over 243 community organizations were supported by the St. Clair community in 2022-2023, with each connection providing additional opportunities for learning as well as valuable contacts for students.
That community impact occurs year- round, as St. Clair offers programs beginning in the fall, winter, and spring. Applications are open now for 2024 programs at St. Clair via ontariocolleges.ca
